Urban Decay Vice 3 Palette Photos, Swatches +Review

Hello my dear readers! I am sure you have seen many blog posts and reviews on the Urban Decay Vice 3 Palette. It is one of the hottest holiday palettes out right now. I love the fact that the Urban Decay Vice 3 Palette is more on the colorful side. It is a nice break from the naked palettes and I knew Urban Decay had the potential to come out with yet another amazing colorful palette. Scroll down for  photos, swatches and my thoughts on the Vice 3 Palette.

Urban Decay Vice 3 Palette retails at $60(0.6 oz).  It comes with all new 20 velvety colorful shadows as well as some neutral ones.  Most shades are metallic with a few matte and satin shades. The eyeshadows are arranged in rows starting from top to bottom. You can coordinate a look that way or mix it up. The Urban Decay Vice 3 also comes with a a dual ended brush and nice colorful case to store it in.

Pros:
Slim Case
Pigmentation
Variety of colors
Versatile

Cons:
Price

 Photos

I like how it shows the colors in the back, so you know what your are buying and if you like these sort of colors or not.

I really love the packaging. I think they did a great job. I love the silver with the color steaks in the middle and the bright green letters.

This palette has a nice size mirror and does not flop down.

A close up of all the pretty colors.

The color are arranged in rows starting from the top down. You have your neutrals in the first, your jewels tones in the next three rows and your smokey shades in the last. You can also use the colors in quads aswell. I love how they paired them this way so you can have an easy time creating a look, or you can be adventurous and mix the colors to create a unique makeup look.

The palette also comes with a double ended brush.

I like that it comes with the case for storing the Urban Decay Vice 3 Palette or it can be used as a cosmetic pouch.

Swatch Time!
Truth -is a pale matte eyeshadow. I found this shade to be a bit dry and chalky.
Undone- Peachy matte shade. This shade has a creamy texture considering it is a matte shade.
DownFall-is a light brown. I am so happy they included this wonderful transition shade to work with all the colorful eyeshadows in the palette.
DTF- is a mauvy brown. Another great transition color.

Dragon- is a beautiful leafy green color.
Freeze-is a mid tone blue color
Heroine -is a beautiful navy blue color.
Broke Down -is a bronze gold color .

Vanity -is a grape color.
Lucky- a gorgeous orangey gold color.
Reign- is a copper brown color.
Boddy Dazzle is a white silver color.

ahh yes my favorite row! :)
Alien- a rosy pink color.
Alchemy -is a magenta pink.
Bondage- is a deep burgundy shade.
Sonic is a pink color with orange undertones. One of my favorite colors in this palette!

Last sin-champagne color
Angel- is a taupe metallic color.
Defy- is a slate grey color.
Revolver- is a gunmetal grey color.

Thoughts

OverAll, I really like the Urban Decay Vice 3 Palette. It has 20 colors mostly metallic with a few matte and satin finishes making this palette very versatile. I love how they included matte shades to work as transition colors for the colorful shades. If you do not want such a colorful look you can always pair a neutral shade with some of the colorful shades to tone down a look. I feel that with every palette that urban decay comes out with they get a bit more expensive. This palette costs $60 dollars.  It isn't bad considering it has 20 all new shadows, but I have seen other eye shadows palettes on the market that have the same amount of shadows and also comes with blushes and lip glosses for a cheaper price.

The eyeshadows have great pigmentation, with the exception of the matte shade Truth. The other matte neutral shades in the palette are velvety soft and the colorful shadows have great pigmentation . The eyeshadows lasted about 7 hours on me without the color fading or creasing.

As for the packing, I love it! It is very sleek and the outside packaging is so pretty. I think it is pretty artsy. The palette comes with a huge mirror and it stays up and does not flop down as with previous Urban Decay palettes. The Urban Decay Vice 3 Palette also comes with a decent double ended brush and an Urban Decay zipper pouch, so u can store the palette in or use it for a cosmetic pouch.

If your a color junkie then this palette is perfect for you. The colors are so versatile that you can use this palette for spring, summer, winter and fall. Hurry and grab this great palette before it sells out. The Urban Decay Vice 3 is a limited edition palette.

You can find the Urban Decay Vice 3 Palette at Ulta, and Sephora.

Do you own this palette? Would you buy it? What is your favorite colors in the palette? Comment below.

Hope you enjoyed this blog post lovelies and see you soon!

Influenster Braun Vox Box

Hello lovelies! Influenster sent me a Braun Vox Box that contained the Braun No Touch Plus Forehead Thermometer. This came at an ideal time because during this time of year the common cold makes is debut everywhere especially in little children. When kids get sick especially infants, it is difficult to get a proper reading of their temperature. I know its is difficult to get a temperature reading from my little ones because they think the thermometer is a needle or it is going hurt them and will they will not stay still. My children just got over the common cold and when the Braun No Touch Plus Forehead Thermometer came, one of my children had a fever. Talk about perfect timing in receiving this handy thermometer. If you have little children , have little children in your family or  or friends who have children, then you might want to scroll down and see my review and thoughts on the Braun No Touch Plus Thermometer.

Braun No Touch Plus Forehead Thermometer retails between $54.99-$69.00. Some stores sell  at cheaper prices than others, so you will have to look around. According to Braun, the thermometer takes readings in 2 seconds. It has temperature guidance which changes the screen  from green to yellow to red depending on the temperature reading. It also has a guidance system and indicates whether you need to move  the thermometer closer for taking a more accurate reading, and a gentle guidance light directs you for accurate aiming. The Braun No Touch Plus Forehead Thermometer is clinically proven precise and accurate readings.

Pros:
Digital Reading
2 in 1 thermometer
Accurate
Great for infant and children
Easy to Use
Hygienic

Cons:
None

As you can see, the illustration shows you where to aim the light. Pressthe  power button on the bottom, aim at the right spot and press the thermometer button on top to take the temperature.

There is a button on the side turn on the beeping sound or mute it.

The little hole in the middle is where the light comes from to help with aiming the correct spot on the forehead for accurate temperature reading.

Overall, I am loving the Braun No Touch Plus Forehead Thermometer. As  I said earlier in my post one of my children were sick, so when I tested the thermometer it gave an accurate reading, because I have an ear thermometer from Braun as well and it read the same. You can also place this directly on the forehead as well. My kids enjoyed it because they liked the light that aimed at their forehead lol. I think this is also excellent to use on newborns since they do not like to be touched or bothered much when it is time for taking the temperature. You can take their temperature in their sleep without waking them which is also a plus. I never knew this was out in the market and I am happy Influenster chose me for this Vox Box. This is an excellent product and it couldn't have come at a better time in the year. I highly recommend the Braun No touch Plus Forehead Thermometer to all the mommies out there.

See you in my next blog post lovelies have a great day/night

September Favorites 2014

Hey lovelies! Hope everyone is doing great. I haven't done one of these in awhile ! I am so happy it is fall! As many of you know Fall is one of my favorite seasons! The changing of leaves, hot chocolate,  and sweaters. I love it! I wanted to share my favorites for the month of September. It is not many because I was moving and my daughter started kindergarten, so I have been super busy. My makeup has been very minimal lately because I am a mom of three loll There is just so little time.  I am pretty sure mommies out there can relate lol. Anyway, let's jump into my September favorites shall we?

Bath and BodyWorks Pumpkin Apple Candle Yes! With Fall comes Pumpkin scented sweet smelling candles! I love to fill my home with sweet scents of pumpkin, cinnamon and apple scents and sweet scents. This is my first time trying this scent and I love it! Perfect blend of apples and pumpkin. The scent do no over power one another and you can smell both the apple and pumpkin. It's great. If you do not own this get it. lol

Makeup Geek Eyeshadows in Cosmopolitan and Bitten. You know with Fall comes the warm neutral toned, gold copper and burgundy eye makeup. I have been loving wearing very warm toned makeup look lately.  Since my makeup has been minimal, sometimes I just use these two together or I just use Makeup Geek's Cosmopolitan on the lid and blend it out up to the crease area. I apply mascara and eyeliner on the lower water line and I am done. Makeup Geek's eyeshadow in the color Bitten has replaced my brown eyeshadow that I usually wear in my crease. I often use golds with bitten on the crease with another transition color to blend out the color bitten and soften up the look.

Since I am olive toned, warm toned blushes such a peach or a peachy pink look great. I chose the Tart Amazonian Clay Blush in Blissful which is a beautiful pink peachy color. It really compliments my skin color and adds a nice and subtle wash of color on my cheeks.

Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick in Rose Velvet. Ahh yes more rose toned neutral lipsticks lol. This   color is a bit washed out because of the lighting,  but I assure you it is pretty! It is a pinky brown color that can be worn with every eye look.

Loreal Paris Color Riche Glossy Balm in Vintage Rose . I have been wearing  this color a lot in the month of September. It gives the lips a nice wash of rose color. Some days I just pop this on and that is it.

Sibu Beauty's Sea Buckthorn Balancing Facial Cleanser.I have done a review which you can find  here on this little gem, which I am almost out of. It is a great facial cleanser . To me this is a two in one cleaner and exfoliator for your face and  I love it. I have been using this and no other acne cleanser  for the month of September.

Vera Wang Perfume Princess. I  have had this perfume for a few years. Lately, I have been reaching for this. This is nice to wear around this time of year. I am not good at describing scents, but it smell nice! :)

Another color perfect for fall is plum and magenta. This is my hijab that I have been wearing a lot. I love the magenta and plum colors mixing together . The tassels on the ends is pretty. I love it and it is lightweight yet keeps me warm. The hijab is by hijabista if my fellow muslimah readers want to know :) This can be worn as a neck scarf too.  :)

Land O Lakes Mint and Chocolate Hot Cocoa Mix. One of the reasons I love fall and winter months is hot chocolate!!! lol I can drink hot chocolate every day! Even in the summer lol. The mint adds a nice taste. I have to go back and get some more because they are all gone :(

Hope you enjoyed my very late September  Favorites! If you posted a favorites blog post please leave the link in the comments section below!

P.S Don't for get to enter my giveaway!! Link on the right side bar on the top corner. Giveaway ends October 28th at 12 A.M Eastern time.

Target and Walmart Haul!!!

Hello lovelies! I just wanted to share some goodies I picked up from Target and Walmart a few weeks ago. This haul contains mostly lip products. I have been addicted to lipstick and lipgloss lately. This time I wanted to purchase some rose toned lippies which is a nice color transition into the fall. Hope you enjoy this haul. :)

Milani Brilliant Shine Lip Gloss. I can never say no  to mauve and berry colored glosses. I think the mauve one is great for everyday wear to add just a little bit of color to your lips. Berry lips is another  great color to wear to the fall. The colors I got are called Mauve Fetish and Berry Temptation.

Loreal Paris Miss Voluminous Manga Mascara - I have heard so much about this mascara so I decided to see what all the fuss about. I read many great reviews, so we shall see.

Loreal Color Riche Glossy Balm- I love lipstick or balms that come in crayon form. I have tried Revlon, so I wanted to see how L'oreal balms work. The colors I got are Vintage Rose and Petite Plum. Again I am loving the plumy and rose colors for the Fall.

Loreal Paris  24 Hour Infallible Eyeshadow in Smoldering Plum this is a great color for fall and I have been seeing plum colored eyeshadow as a fall trend this year. It is so pretty! I would use this to smoke up an eyeshadow look.

Nyx Mega Shine Lip Gloss - Tea Rose is a nice pinky rose color. It is beautiful and gives the lips a light wash of color.

Nyx Lip Matte Cream - San Paulo  is a pink color with red undertones. Really pretty.

Nyx Round Lipstick- Tea rose. Same color name as the Nyx Mega Shine Lip Gloss but, this color is a lighter pink. You can pair the Nyx Mega Gloss in Tea Rose and the Nyx Round Lipstick in Tea rose together.

I do not own many colors like these. I didn't want to let go of wearing pink completely, so I thought these rose colors are nice and are wearable for this time of year. :)

Rimmel Lip Pencil in Spice.
It is weird for a beauty addict like me , but I have only a few lipliners lol. I decided to pick this one up to match my rose toned and neutral lippies.

Maybelline Cream Matte LipStick - Mesmerizing Magenta- I love matte lipsticks and finding a good one is hard. I love magenta!

Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick in Rum Raisin- Again with the rose toned lippies. I just cant get enough. This is considered a 90's lipstick color. This has been a new lip color trend.

Milani Color Statement Lipstick in Sangria - If there was a perfect color to wear for the Fall it would be this one. It is just a beautiful purple wine color. ahhh so pretty!

Hopefully I can do a review and swatches for these goodies . Stay tuned.

That is it!

Hope you enjoyed my Target and Walmart haul. In no way I am bragging I just want to share my beauty finds with my fellow beauty addicts. :)
