My husband likes well done food and he is picky. He prefers fried food all the time. So I made a chicken stir fry with a spanish twist:

1/lb of boneless chicken diced in little squares

1 Red pepper diced in slices

1 large onion cut in slices

Half a can of Goya tomato sauce.

1  and half Packet of sazon

1 Tsp. of Red pepper flakes or measure to your spicey preference.

Hand  full of minced Cilantro

 2- 4 tbs  of oil.

*I am not good at measuring, I usually just season away lol so these are just estimates*

*Season the chicken to your liking. I season mine with Garlic,Onion powder, Half a pack of sazon, salt and black pepper.*

Heat on high the pan add 2 tbs of oil and toss the chicken until its a little brown then cover till chicken is soft and tender. Once its done, put chicken aside.

In the same pan I put  another 2 Tbs of oil and sauté the Red peppers and onions till its semi done and add half pack of sazon, salt, and Red pepper flakes.

Mix it together.Cover and  Let it sauté 2 minutes more, then add chicken.

Add the  halfa pack  of sazon and Mix everything together. Add half a can of Goya tomato sauce and a little water, so it wont be too dry.Add cilantro.Mix together. Cover and let it simmer for ten minutes. Mix everything again one last time and your done!

This invention is one of my hubby's fav dishes. :)

Sephora's Disney Ariel Story Book Palette Vol. 3 :Review,Photos and Swatches.

Asalamu alaikum and hello my lovelies! I am so excited for this post you guys. I want to share with you the awesomeness of this limited addition palette. Earlier in the Summer, this palette went on sale but only to Sephora's  Beauty insiders.  I wasn't a beauty insider,I don't why, but  I quickly signed up and applied  for an  email notification as to when the palette would be back in stock. I waited and waited and lost hope. I was a little sad and thought it sold out for good. When I received the email notification that Disney's Ariel Story Book Palette were back in stock,  I rushed to my lap top and quickly placed an order.I just had to add this to my makeup collection, and was really happy it wasn't sold out. So without further ado, I present to you  Sephora's Disney Ariel Story Book Palette Vol .3.

Sephora's Disney Ariel Story Book Palette Vol. 3 retails at $55.00(0.035oz.)It comes with 20 Gorgoeus eyeshadows(1.0g each). This palette has 5 Matte shades and the rest are shimmers.

When I opened the palette I was like a kid in a candy store :) The colors are so beautiful and for the most part have decent pigmentation with the exception of a few that are chalky. I am pleased with the color choices and I think they did a great job.On the outside casing of the eyeshadow palette as well as on the palette itself, there is writing that says, "Dare to dream". I think that is pretty inspirational. Each eyeshadow is named  according to the characters, snippets of the song lyrics and traits of Disney's The Little Mermaid which I think is cute. What I also love is you can take out the eyeshadow palette out of its casing and you are left with a nice velvety box that you can use to store your jewelry in or it can be used as your secret chocolate stash :))

Before we get into the swatches, let talk about that packaging.

The picture speaks for itself. The packaging is just gorgeous. The color Blue and the Silver detailing  makes this package look elegant. If you have seen the movie The Little Mermaid, you know the picture of the big shell is a scene from when Ariel is late for her concert because she is out looking for treasures,  and in the middle of the cover is Ariel's silhouette when she was in transformation in getting legs to go above the ocean out into the human world. They did a great job on incorporating different aspects of the movie on the outside packaging.

Ingredients:

 Front of the Inside packaging:

The inside packaging is also gorgeous. The Silver detailing and the Blue is such a nice contrast of colors and I love the quote Dare to dream. .The scene on this packaging is Ariel in her grotto, where all her collection of treasures are. They did a great job in capturing the essence of the movie.

Back of the packaging:

I like how the colors are outlines of Ariel. Cute.

The best part is the eye shadows. As you can see  the color selections are beautiful. You have colorful and neutral colors.

'

The colors that stood out to me the most were Fins, Caspian sea, Sea witch, Sha la la and Blue lagoon.

You can take out the Palette and there is a nice Velvety box where you can store things like your Jewelry.

Ok its Swatch time!

Blue Lagoon-(shimmer) Vibrant Blue with tiny specks of Gold glitter.

Scuttle-(shimmer)Peachy Nude color.

Flounder- (matte)Soft Yellow color . Without using the primer the color is chalky. The primer brings out the color and turns out to be pretty nonetheless.

Sebastian-(matte) Peach tone color. The color is barely visible with out a primer. When the color is applied on top of the primer, it bring out the beautiful Peach color.

Flotsam-(shimmer) Gunmetal color with tiny specks of glitter. Without a primer the color is  very chalky and lacks pigmentation. When the color is applied on top of the primer, the color still is a bit lacking but looks better with the primer.

Sea shells-(shimmer) Soft White color like a sea shell would have. Name fits the color perfectly.

Les poissons-(shimmer)Taupey Brown.

Caspain sea-(shimmer) Teal color with Green undertones. Beautiful.

Your voice-(shimmer) Silver color with Silver specks of glitter.

Unfortunate souls-(matte) Periwinkle Purple. This is one of the colors I thought would have nice pigmentation. As you can see from the swatch above, it's chalky and the pigmentation isn't great. When you apply primer it is beautiful.

Alantica- (shimmer)Is a beautiful Lime color.

Fins-(shimmer) is a mossy Green with tiny specks of Gold glitter in it. One of my favorite colors in the palette and one of the ones that stood out.

Sick of swimmin-(shimmer+duo chrome) is a duo chrome color with specks of glitter. You can see the duo chrome in the light or sunlight. Out of the white colors, this is my favorite .Very unique.

Ursula-(shimmer) Dirty Brown color. This is such a nice shade of brown.

sha la la(matte)- Raspberry Pink color. This is another color that I thought would have decent pigmentation. When you apply the primer, it  brings out the color it is pretty.I thought in this palette they would include a Red eyeshadow since Ariel's hair is red. Still a very pretty color.

Triton(shimmer) A gorgeous Gold color with specks of Gold glitter.

Wanderin Free(shimmer)  Light Copper color.

Jetsam(shimmer) is a deep dark Green color.

Sea Witch(matte) is a Deep Purple when applied on top of a primer. When I looked at the color I was really excited! When I swatched it, it was chalky and lacked pigmentation. (sad face) However, when applied on top of a primer is turns out to beautiful Purple color.

Treasures untold(shimmer) is a very Light Pink color with Gold undertones.

  My final thoughts:

I think this palette is beautiful. However, the colors that I thought would have really good pigmentation was a bit of a disappointment, but all is not lost and those colors are redeemable once you apply the primer. I am still happy with the purchase because I love the array of colors this palette has. You have your colors and you have your neutrals which makes this palette have something for everyone. The shinning stars of this palette are the colors, Blue Lagoon Caspian Sea,Fins,Atlantica and Sea shells. I think these colors are really unique and I wasn't expecting a duo chrome(Sea Shells) to be in this palette which is nice. The packaging of this Palette is simply beautiful and makes it a must have to add it to your makeup collection.

Where to buy:
Unfortunately I believe they are sold out in Sephora :(. I tried to look on the site and couldn't find it. But have no fear they are selling this palette as well as previous Sephora Disney Story Book Palettes on ebay. However since this and previous Disney palettes are limited edition,  they are selling it at a very expensive price.

I hope you enjoyed the review and thank you so much  for stopping by. I will see you lovelies in my next blog post ox :)

My Top 5 Neutral Palettes

As salaamu alaikum and hello lovelies!   I have been using my Neutral Palettes more often lately. I love the earthy tones. Neutral colors are perfect for every day wear and any occasion, whether its for work, school or a night out. What I love about Neutral Palettes is that they have different shades of Browns ranging  from warm to cool. The color Black that is usually in all Neutral palettes, is great if you want to create a nice Brown Smokey Eye or to intensify your look. I just love the versatility of  Neutral  Palettes. I am going to share with you my Top five Neutral Palettes. It was a very very tough decision in choosing the ones that made my Top Five. Let's have a look.

Le'ts start from the bottom up:

5.

5. Nyx Nude on Nude-  It was between The Balm's Nude tude and  Nyx's Nude on Nude. Nyx's Nude Palette won this spot because unlike the many Neutral  eyeshadow palettes out there, this palette has the most  Neutral colors to choose from. It has mattes, shimmers and glitter shadows. This palette also comes with lipgloss which is underneath by simply pulling it out. This is a plus because the lip colors compliment the Neutral colors and saves you the time of looking for lipstick or lipgloss that goes with your look.

4.

4. Lorac Pro Unzipped- This palette is perfect for a simpler Neutral Eye and perfect to create a beautiful wedding look. Lorac Unzipped has mattes and shimmers. The colors have softer tones and plenty of golden shades. If you are trying to achieve a natural look , this palette is the perfect choice.

3.

3.Sonia Kashuk's Eye on Neutral Palette 02 - All Matte Palette .Need I say more? I have never seen a palette that contains all Matte Neutral Eyeshadows. Most people prefer Mattes over shimmers. If you are that person, this palette is a must have. I love it.

2.Urban Decays's Naked 1- The classic Naked Palette that started it all. I had to choose between this and the Naked 2. I prefer warmer toned Browns which is why I chose this palette. The Naked 2 color selections are more cool toned.

1.Lorac Pro- This has to be by far the best Neutral palette out there. Equal shimmers and mattes, makes this palette so versatile, giving you many options on contrasting looks. You can see a Review,Swatches and Photos of the Lorac Pro  by Clicking Here.

The reason why The Balm's Nude Tude did not make the cut is because The Balm's Nude Tude  has similar colors  to Lorac Pro, but Lorac Pro's quality and pigmentation is better and has more eyeshadows to choose from. As for choosing the Urban Decay's Naked 1 Palette over the Urban Decays's Naked 2, is I just prefer warmer toned Browns. Naked 2 Palette is great but not many color choices when it comes to Brown color eyeshadows  and the colors are on the cool side.

I hope you enjoyed My Top Five Neutral Palettes blog post.  Leave a comment below on What is your Top Five Neutral Palettes?

Ramadan begins for Muslims around the world.

Hey lovelies! I am writing to let you know that Ramadan has started for me and Muslims around  the world. I won't be blogging as much this month but will resume posting more frequently after Ramadan ends. I want to use this time for self reflection and improving my self as a person. I want to enjoy this month and benefit from it as much as I can. Also, I want  to spend this special time with my three children. In case you do not know what Ramadan is here is a brief explanation.

The month of Ramadan is special because it was when the Quran was revealed to Prophet Muhammed.During Ramadan, Muslims all over the world fast 30 days. We fast from sun rise to sunset. Before the sun rises, we wake up one hr before to eat(suhoor which just means meal before sunrise). We  pray and begin our fast.  After the sunsets, we break our fast and eat(iftar which means meal after sun set).

During the month of Ramadan we abstain from many things such as eating, sexual intercourse,( we are not allowed to do while fasting),arguing, idle and excessive talk(ex.gossiping and backbiting). Ramadan teaches us self control, patience ,humility, increases our faith and cleanses the soul.We try their best to increase in doing good deeds and getting closer to Allah(God). It is a time to self reflect on how we can be better as a person and Muslim. During this month, Muslims increase in worship, constantly seek forgiveness and fast in hopes to be forgiven for past sins.

Ramadan Mubarak to all my fellow Muslims :)

So with that my friends, I will probably be posting perhaps once or twice a week. After Ramadan ends,  I will resume my normal schedule of posting more frequently :) I am working on one blog post at the moment and will have it up sometime this week :) Take care everyone and  much love and hugs!

Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stains Review, Photos and Swatches

Today I will be reviewing Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stains. At first when I  heard of these I was a bit skeptical. I was thinking these really can't stain your lips and it can't possibly last long.Well now that I have purchased them and tried them my views have changed. One thing that I noticed about Revlon's lip products is that they are so moisturizing for the most part. Revlon has the right formula when it comes to making lip products that are so buttery smooth. The Revlon Balm Stains feel very moisturizing on lips but after while your lips can become dry.It applies very smoothly, has a slight minty smell and has a cooling sensation on your lips. The lip stains are very pigmented and have decent staying power. However, some colors tend to stain differently than the original color. For instance, the Color Honey is like a Pinky Nude color but stains Pink after it sets.  When taking off the product it can be a bit of a challenge since they really do stain your lips.

Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stains retail between $7.48 to $8.99. Its is a retractable  lip crayon which is a plus, so you won't have to worry about sharpening it.

               Photos:

Starting from top to bottom:Honey,Lovesick,Sweetheart,Smitten,Rendezvous, and Romantic

                                                                        Honey

Lovesick

                                                                     Sweetheart

                                                                         Smitten

Rendevous

Romantic

Swatches

Honey is a Pinky Nude color .This is my favorite Nude at the moment. It applies as the color you see here, but stains in a Pink color. When it sets it is still a pretty color , but if I am going to wear Nude I want it to stay Nude.

Lovesick is a Magenta Color. I say out of all the Pinks in the collection, this is my favorite one.

Sweetheart is a Blossom Pink color that has a sweet look to it.
For some reason it reminds me of Candy lol.

Smitten is a Berry Pink color. If you want to wear a Pink that is not so bright then this Pink is nice for everyday wear.

Rendezvous is a Coral color. I love this color because some Corals tend to be really bright but this one has a soft tone to it. Perfect Color to wear for the Summer.

Romantic is a Cherry Wine color. This color is also perfect for everyday wear. Red can be a bit bold, but this Red has a softer tone and is a bit sheer which I like. Nice Fall color.

In conclusion, I think the Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stains are worth the purchase. They apply very smoothly and has a buttery texture . When I first applied it , I felt a cooling sensation on my lips. It has decent staying power considering I ate a bowl of pasta while wearing it, and the color still stood.I was pretty impressed. It stains nicely but after awhile your lips feel dry so you may want to re apply to get that moisture back. As I mentioned earlier, the color Honey applies Nude and stains Pink. I think at the end all the Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm stains slightly lighter color than when you first apply it. It can be a good thing or a bad thing. The Good thing is you may like that  washed color effect. The bad thing is you may want to keep that rich color when you  applied to stain the same way. In my opinion, I would like to keep the Rich color that you have when u first apply it  to stain without changing the color. When it stains the color is nice, but doesn't look like the original color.I still love the product nonetheless. The Revlon Kissable Balm Stain line should have more color selections to choose from. I think Revlon makes great lip products and this one is just another to add to their list. It is convenient because it is a retraceable lip crayon and saves you the time and headache of sharpening it.

I rate this Product a 9/10.

Hope you enjoyed the Review. I will see you all in the next Blog post. Let me know what you think of the product . What is Your favorite Color? What do you dislike about it? Leave a comment below.

Have a wonderful day lovelies :)
